J.T.’s background

Doing research for my characters, as I want them to be interesting three dimensional characters that feel real, I've been studying all sorts of things from a certain time period, and among these subjects has been drummers, as one of my characters is too a drummer, and he'd know who these people were. This is a quick sketch of Dave Tough, certainly a drummer J.T. would have known about.

Very cool idea, K! This portrait is very, very good. Frame it!!! I keep going back and forth from hands to eyes, the soulful eyes.

Thanks Leslie. He’s really good to draw, one of those people you see and just have to draw, and I could draw that particular picture a million times and still not get it perfect, but it’s good for practice.
