Awesome ‘Possum, Vol. 3

I’m part of a natural science anthology comic—45 authors/artists do 45 comics about the natural world.

It’s available for purchase for six more days on Kickstarter at:

My story is about a certain kind of fish, and here’s my first page:

Comic created with classmates available

As a student at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, VT, I’ve been busy creating comics and learning A LOT about doing so.  I’m currently working on the last project of the year which, if all goes well, will be the first chapter to the graphic novel about which I’ve talked so much!

In the meantime though, I worked with classmates to create a WWI anthology which includes eleven four-page comics.  A PDF of it is available at https://gumroad.com/l/muddybuddies if you’d like to check it out.

Page for group project

I was part of a group of five students and a faculty editor who created a 32-page comic in the style of Harvey comic's Casper the Friendly Ghost in two weeks; here is an inked page I did for the project.

Comic in simple drawing style for school

For a school assignment, requiring us to tell a journey-themed story in the style of Ed Emberley, who did a number of how-to-draw books. The idea was that the "simple" drawing style would free us up to focus more on the story and page design than the art.

A class assignment

The assignment due this week was to create three autobiographical comic strips in the style of, and with as similar tools as possible, of the artist we were assigned: mine was George Herriman who created/wrote/drew "Krazy Kat," and this is what I came up with for the assignment.
